By age 18 expanded his skillset working on many types of automotives for several used car lots. He has held many positions in his career, from painter at a dealership to body shop manager. Practical hands-on experience has always been his best teacher. He became known as a Combo Man able to do frame work, body work and painting

The Atkins Appraisal team consists of 20 experienced appraisers across 4 states. This team is coordinated by our main office staff of 4.
In 1999, Kirk started working for Progressive Insurance. there he received extensive training in writing damage appraisals. Kirk also worked in a DRP (direct repair facility) for Progressive eventually managing 6 DRP locations. From Progressive , Kirk moved on to work for an independent appraisal company.
In 2006, Kirk began working for an indepement appraisal company. In a short time he landed a list of companies that preferred his extensive skill set.
Soon Atkins Appraisal was founded. Experienced appraisers were hired to expand its territory in North Carolina and Georgia. Services were then expanded beyond automotives to various commercial, residential, and recreational vehicles. Atkins Appraisal has the ability to commit to a fast and accurate turnaround of claims.
